 Recuerdo que quienes me ense ña ron temas religiosos desde pequeño hacían hincapié en participar de los servicios semanales. En mi país los devotos atienden los sábados o domingos a servicios religiosos. Recuerdo que uno de mis profesores de religión decía – “Dios solo pide una hora de atención a la semana, presten atención en la iglesia esa horita”. También recuerdo en mi colegio me ensenaron una versión condensada de los 10 mandamientos para recordarlos fácilmente. Y entre ellos recuerdo que el mandamiento a cumplir los domingos era resumido como “Santificar las fiestas”. Muchas veces nos limitamos solo a estas versiones simplificadas. Pero si leemos la palabra en más detalle, el mandamiento dice: 12» Guardarás el día de reposo para santificarlo, como el Señor tu Dios lo ha mandado. 13 seis días trabajarás y harás todo tu trabajo, 14 más el séptimo día es día de reposo para el Señor tu Dios; no harás en él ningún trabajo, tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu sierva, n

  Y finalmente la Covid 19 entro en mi casa...   Mi familia y yo hemos sido muy cuidadosos a la hora de mitigar el riesgo de contagio de la Covid 19. Desde el tiempo que empezo la pandemia hemos implementado varias practicas para reducir el riesgo de contagio. Imagino que muchos de ustedes han implementado mitigantes semejantes. Ademas de usar mascaras, conservar la distancia, evitar reuniones sociales, lavado continuo de las manos, en casa limpiamos toda cosa que viene de afuera con alcohol. Nos mudamos de ropa cada vez que regresamos a casa. Cuando salimos a un restaurante, elejimos uno con buena ventilacion o preferiblemente con ambiente exterior, y limpiamos todos los implementos con alcohol. Adicionalmente a las acciones anteriormente listadas, durante estos ultimos 14 meses implementamos una medida adicional con el personal de ayuda domestica.  O ne hundred is a number that calls my attention. Perhaps becuase many facts are related to number 100. There are 100 years in a century. Water boils at 100C at sea level. 100 is related to totality, since we use percentage commonly. There are 100 cents in 1 colombian peso, in 1 dollar, in 1 Euro. Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. Today I was reading the Book of Psalms and I came across Psalm 100. It called my attention that the Chrsitian Standard Bible titles this Psalm Be Thankful. It’s a short psam, I want to share it with you 1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his[a]; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. I'd like to invite you to reflect today on the message found in The book of Psalms Chapter 1. This psalm of David presents us with a parallel comparison between two ways of living: hand in hand with God or separated from Him.   Let's first look at the text of Psalm 1 (NIV): 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,   and who meditates on his law day and night . 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. Political crisis, economic crisis, health crisis, family crisis, spiritual crisis and many other areas are commonly in crisis. We see many injustices happening closely, many situations that cause sadness. We see how people are manipulated, terrified and biased. In many situations, the unrighteous seem to win and the righteous seem to lose.   Day to day situations can derail our peace, our health, and our well-being. God does not want our suffering, but he allows it for our benefit at the end of the day. With what is happening in the world, it is important to turn more and more towards God. Los momentos mas sublimes, que han tocado mi corazon de mayor forma, han tenido un comun denominador: tiempo de adoracion a Dios. Sin importar si hay dificultades, si hay tristreza o si hay alegria, nada ha cambiado mi vida mas profundamente que un tiempo de adoracion y alabanza. Mi vida estuvo llena de errores. Tambien, mirando y reflexionando sobre mi pasado, mis luchas espirituales tenian una basica razon de ser. Apesar de llamarme un cristiano, no habia fortalezido mi relacion con Dios. No era una persona conciente de quien es Dios, de su majestad, de su amor. Dios me ha permitido ser de una u otra forma ministro de su palabra.
