Christ's prophecy in Genesis 49

Image
Genesis 49 – Under the light of its parallel meaning   Genesis 49 relates the story of when Jacob called his sons, the fathers of the 12 tribes of Israel and blessed them, according to the traditional translation we read in our English bibles.  The Hebrew language is extremely rich. God used this language to convey His message for humanity. More importantly, God used history and real situations to prophesy what His plan of salvation was.  In Genesis 49  you will discover that there is a parallel message conveyed with this story w hen you check the meaning of the names of Jacob and each of their sons.  The translation I present here to you comes from the transliteration of the names and each of the words of the masoretic  Hebrew text of Genesis 49.  For your understanding, in Hebrew some words may have multiple meanings. For example, the word  מִש ְׁכָּב  ( mishkab )   which literally is a wooden place to rest,  can mean bed, or coff...

A Sincere Letter To A Muslim Friend: a Proof on why the Bible is not Corrupted

According to Islam, to Judaism and to Christianity only God can forbid sins. Forbidding our sins is needed for God to allow us in His presence. In Islam forgiveness of Sins is achieved by submission to God, submission to do what is in the Qur’an and the Hadiths, believing that He is merciful and capable to forgive.    In the view of Judaism and Christianity sins have a price which must be paid; there is a debt associated with sins, and the price is death. Hence the need of atonement, a payment to bring justice. The understanding of Jews is that atonement for a while was achieved by sacrificing animals. Today some of them claim that because God allowed the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, the atonement is achieved by repentance. This would mean that God changed His word, to atone sins with sacrifices first and after with repentance. This means there's no payment of sins with death.   However, in the Hebrew version of the Taurat, the one used by the Jews today it’s m...

Debunking the Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary - Argument 2 of 5

Dear Ijaz and Beloved reader:   I would like to respond to the second argument from your article 5 Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary . I hope you read my response with a critical and open spirit. I don’t intend to offend anyone with my comments. Rather, shed a different perspective to clarify the apparent issues presented in your article.   I would like to quote from your second argument: “Argument #2: According to John 3:16, the Bible says:   “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ” – John 3:16.You must understand that Jesus, according to this verse has died for the sins of the world. Show the Christian this verse and remind them of that. Jesus died for your sins (a disbeliever in Christianity) and for the sins of Christians. He already died for them. Jesus is not going to time travel some 2000 odd years or so ago and on the cross say, “I am dying f...

Debunking the Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary - Argument 1 of 5

This is a series of posts responding to the article in www.callingchristians.com http://callingchristians.com/2012/10/28/5-arguments-to-debunk-any-missionary-pdf/ The following is the first argument presented by CallingChristians.com: Argument #1:According to Genesis 6:6, the Bible says: “The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.” The argument using this verse is quite simple. If God is all knowing, then God cannot make mistakes. Only those who make mistakes have regret, therefore the Christian God is not all knowing. Thus, you ask the Christian if God is all knowing, when they answer with a resounding, ‘yes’, then pose to them this verse and the logic mentioned above. They will try to take you away from this verse by mentioning you have taken it out of context, if that is the case, show them the following passage: “Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him. And the LORD regrette...

After Watching Joshua Evans’ Testimony...

Dear Muslim Brother: I really thank God the intention and willingness He has placed in your heart to look for explanations and reasons to make us understand really what the truth about God is all about. I thank you for sharing with me the story of Joshua Evans. His testimony is obviously edifying and a blessing for those who sincerely look for God. I’m afraid to say that Joshua’s didn’t clarify the main reason for my quest: Why would God send a new word after his initial revelation, if the second revelation contradicts the first one. Joshua’s arguments are not new for me, for The Lord has placed the desire in my heart, the circumstances and people like you to encourage me to deeply study the evidences of the different revelations different people has claimed to be His.  There are many difficulties in the Bible presented by Joshua, and believe me, I do know exactly where the explanations to his arguments are. He talks about the ungodliness behavior of some of the Prophets, he ...

Blessed be God's people

The blessings of the chosen people The Middle East conflict is been on the mouth of many people for years. It has had such importance that even the largest powers in the world have been involved from the beginning, though geographically they would not be related in normal circumstances. I really wonder why. Why is there such interest from many people from different regions in the world on Israel. Why so many people hate or love Israel? Looking at the history, this has been a common factor, it’s not something new. The history of Israel has been surrounded by conflict and friction. And the present is not the exception. Some people desires Israel did not exist at all. It’s a common conception to depict The Jews as terrible hypocrite people. After knowing the Word of God I do realize how important Israel is been in the history of humanity, and despite of the paradigms, through the Israelites we have received the blessing of salvation. The name of Israel comes Jacob (Ya’akov as per the Jewi...
