What did The Messenger of Allah think of the previous Scriptures?

An unavoidable topic of discussion in the muslim-judeo-christian dialogue is the validity and reliability of the books revealed by God before the time of the glorious Qur'an. The Book of the religion of Islam make reference to judeo-christian books in multiple verses.  Let's take a look at some of the Hadiths which relate the impression of the prophet of Islam with regards to the books preceding the Qur'an: I. SAHIH  Narrated by Aisha “(...)Khadija [his wife] then accompanied him [The Prophet - PBUH] to her cousin Waraqa …, who, during the PreIslamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. HE WOULD WRITE FROM THE GOSPEL in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write.(...)”  http://sunnah.com/bukhari/1 Reference  : Sahih al-Bukhari 3 In-book reference  : Book 1, Hadith 3 USC-MSA web (English) reference  : Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 3  (deprecated numbering scheme) Narrated Abu Huraira: ..The people of the Scripture...

Was the Arabian Church using a different Bible?

The main writer of the site answering-christianity.com produced an argument to justify the claims of corruption in the Bible: since Arabia was not under the Roman Empire, they used a different Bible. The following points can be concluded from the articles below: 1. At the time of the Quranic revelation, Christianity existed. The discovery of the Jubail Church from the 4th century indicates that one of the denominations that the prophet Mohammed met were Nestorians From Wikipedia Christianity in Saudi Arabia History Christians had formed churches in Arabia prior to the time of Muhammad in the 7th century. Purportedly, one of the earliest church buildings ever discovered by archaeologists is located in Saudi Arabia, known as Jubail Church, built around the 4th century.[citation needed] Some parts of modern Saudi Arabia (such as Najran) were predominantly Christian until the 7th to 10th century, when most Christians were expelled or converted to Islam. Some Arabian tribes, such as Banu Ta...

Ritual Washing

I’ve been moved to write about ritual washing. Ceremonially impurity is a concept that we read about both in the Torah and the Koran. Though the specifics are a little bit different, both point towards the same: If ritually unclean, the believer should perform a ritual cleansing. In Islam we read that Gushl and Wudu are required to perform the prayers to God. Not performing Gushl or Wudu when and as required by the scriptures and traditions would make all prayers invalid. One should wonder why a physical condition may hinder the spiritual relationship with God. I believe I have an explanation. Islam is rooted in the scriptures, that is The Torah, the Injil, The Zabur and the Koran. Setting aside the dispute of whether the Torah in our hands today is the very same original Torah, We should look at the  The Hebrew Bible. In the Hebrew Bible is included various regulations about bathing: And whoever he that hath issue (a  zav , abnormal seminal discharge) touches without having r...

True love means loving everyone

I've been living for 12 years in Muslim countries around the globe, and I've seen different faces of Islam.  Most Muslims are friendly and respectful of other's beliefs. They are also quite zealous of their own, but not violent. They sieve through their scriptures on what is and what is not applicable today to ensure harmonious living respecting others'.  On the other hand, few Muslims do follow strictly what They read in their writings, even if that means persecuting infidels. For example  Ancient Iraqi Christian communities have been expelled following a decree by ISIS, that they must either convert to Islam, pay a tax or die.  ( http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/last-few-iraqi-christians-flee-violence-and-threats-in-mosul-as-isis-continues-its-takeover-9622541.html). In sharia countries, people may face death if they leave Islam. Such was the case of  Mariam Yehya Ibrahim, the Sudanese Christian woman sentenced to death in Sudan because of h...

Debunking the Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary - Argument 4 of 5

Dear Ijaz and Beloved reader: I would like to respond to the third argument from your article  5 Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary . I hope you read my response with a critical and open spirit. I don’t intend to offend anyone with my comments. Rather, shed a different perspective to clarify the apparent issues presented in your article.  " Argument #4: According to Matthew 5:22, the Bible says: “But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.” – Matthew 5:22. According to the Christian belief, since Jesus is God, then God is saying that calling anyone a ‘fool’ means then, that the person who does so is in danger of hell. As it turns out, Jesus breaks this rule and is therefore a sinner, and subsequently in danger of hell: “You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temp...

Debunking the Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary - Argument 3 of 5

Dear Ijaz and Beloved reader:   I would like to respond to the third argument from your article  5 Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary . I hope you read my response with a critical and open spirit. I don’t intend to offend anyone with my comments. Rather, shed a different perspective to clarify the apparent issues presented in your article.  " Argument #3: According to Matthew 27:46, the Bible says: “ About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). ” – Matthew 27:46. Show the Christian this verse and ask if it says that Jesus was forsaken by God. When they say yes, turn to the following verse: “ For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish. ” – Psalm 37:28. According to this passage, if Christ was faithful, loved by God and Just,the...
