Walking through the valley of the shadow of death...

And finally the Covid 19 entered my house ... My family and I have been very careful when mitigating the risk of contagion from Covid 19. Since the time the pandemic began, we have implemented several practices to reduce the risk of contagion. I imagine many of you have implemented similar mitigation measures. In addition to wearing masks, keeping your distance, avoiding social gatherings, continuous hand washing, at home we clean everything that comes from outside with alcohol. We change our clothes every time we come home. When we go out to a restaurant, we choose one with good ventilation or preferably with an outdoor environment, and we clean all the implements with alcohol. In addition to the actions previously listed, during these last 14 months we implemented an additional measure with the domestic help personnel. To reduce the risk, we pay a little more salary and have our helpers living with us. We try as much as possible to minimize risks. Also, as soon as we had acc...

Hold The Hand Of God

O ne hundred is a number that calls my attention. Perhaps becuase many facts are related to number 100. There are 100 years in a century. Water boils at 100C at sea level. 100 is related to totality, since we use percentage commonly. There are 100 cents in 1 colombian peso, in 1 dollar, in 1 Euro. Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. Today I was reading the Book of Psalms and I came across Psalm 100. It called my attention that the Chrsitian Standard Bible titles this Psalm Be Thankful. It’s a short psam, I want to share it with you 1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his[a]; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. God's guidance

I'd like to invite you to reflect today on the message found in The book of Psalms Chapter 1. This psalm of David presents us with a parallel comparison between two ways of living: hand in hand with God or separated from Him.   Let's first look at the text of Psalm 1 (NIV): 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,   and who meditates on his law day and night . 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. This time I want to focus on some details in verse 2. I’d lik...

Who is your redeemer?

Regardless of what is going on on anyone’s life, everyday is day with a chance. What is the most important chance of life? Believing in God and receiving His Salvation. Yesterday I read a tweet from Rob Robinson (@FairMinded Faith) saying the following: “Imagine that for some, at the end of their life when it's too late, they will discover that they had the key to eternal life all along. In Luke 16, Jesus told the man in hell that he should have believed the Bible, he could have been saved. Today is the day of salvation. Believe!” https://twitter.com/fairmindedfaith/status/1396093558168330240?s=10 One of the purposes of this blog is to facilitate yet another channel to share the Good News. God has put in my heart the desire to provide means for many to reflect. I really hope that through reflection, many will come to believe in the truth of the Salvation that God offers us through His Son. Many of us have struggled with how gracious God is. It’s difficult to understand that G...
