Debunking the Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary - Argument 2 of 5

Dear Ijaz and Beloved reader:   I would like to respond to the second argument from your article 5 Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary . I hope you read my response with a critical and open spirit. I don’t intend to offend anyone with my comments. Rather, shed a different perspective to clarify the apparent issues presented in your article.   I would like to quote from your second argument: “Argument #2: According to John 3:16, the Bible says:   “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ” – John 3:16.You must understand that Jesus, according to this verse has died for the sins of the world. Show the Christian this verse and remind them of that. Jesus died for your sins (a disbeliever in Christianity) and for the sins of Christians. He already died for them. Jesus is not going to time travel some 2000 odd years or so ago and on the cross say, “I am dying f...

Debunking the Arguments to Debunk Any Missionary - Argument 1 of 5

This is a series of posts responding to the article in www.callingchristians.com http://callingchristians.com/2012/10/28/5-arguments-to-debunk-any-missionary-pdf/ The following is the first argument presented by CallingChristians.com: Argument #1:According to Genesis 6:6, the Bible says: “The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.” The argument using this verse is quite simple. If God is all knowing, then God cannot make mistakes. Only those who make mistakes have regret, therefore the Christian God is not all knowing. Thus, you ask the Christian if God is all knowing, when they answer with a resounding, ‘yes’, then pose to them this verse and the logic mentioned above. They will try to take you away from this verse by mentioning you have taken it out of context, if that is the case, show them the following passage: “Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him. And the LORD regrette...

After Watching Joshua Evans’ Testimony...

Dear Muslim Brother: I really thank God the intention and willingness He has placed in your heart to look for explanations and reasons to make us understand really what the truth about God is all about. I thank you for sharing with me the story of Joshua Evans. His testimony is obviously edifying and a blessing for those who sincerely look for God. I’m afraid to say that Joshua’s didn’t clarify the main reason for my quest: Why would God send a new word after his initial revelation, if the second revelation contradicts the first one. Joshua’s arguments are not new for me, for The Lord has placed the desire in my heart, the circumstances and people like you to encourage me to deeply study the evidences of the different revelations different people has claimed to be His.  There are many difficulties in the Bible presented by Joshua, and believe me, I do know exactly where the explanations to his arguments are. He talks about the ungodliness behavior of some of the Prophets, he ...
